Lately I have been thinking about spaces, the natural vs man made, and the similar motions made. What is the pull that they have between one another. Which one holds the positive charge.... or do they each balance out the other. Are opposites in fact compliments.

  Becquerel, 2010

In the late afternoon rush, I start to wonder about short lived moments.  How do I capture it, how do I challenge myself, the viewer, the meaning.  You put that last cigarette out and determine how to get your next fix. Many things happen proportionally, many things happen randomly.  What can you factor in to be predicted.

My work, at its best, happens randomly and many times it reminds me of a waterfall. It can generate a process, be a beautiful phenomena, or be the simple element that becomes your being.

chains of gold

Harvest, 2008

Familiar substances become attracted to one another, its a gravitational pull, and it creates something that continues to move. A positive charge, creates a postitive charge.

Sometimes, this pull can take place between you and a work of art.  It connects you to a feeling, it conects you to a photograph, and it connects you to your past. We become the fourth dimention.

Playing with opposing views while photographing is fun, and its also interesting on what subject matter you can use. I have always had a fascination with junk....because I'm unsure if there is such a thing. Its like the concept of absurdity, and I'm attracted to it.
